Located in the centre of beautiful Glastonbury, The George and Pilgrims Hotel is the oldest purpose built pub in the South West of England. Dating back to the 1400s, this historic pub and hotel maintains an abundance of its original features with the old oak beams, mullion windows and panelled stone frontage standing out amongst the crowd and beautifully maintained.
The George and Pilgrims Hotel offers 14 comfortable, tastefully decorated and spacious ensuite rooms to our guests – all well equipped for the business traveller & recreational guest alike. All rooms have ensuite bathrooms, digital TVs, tea and coffee-making facilities and free Wi-Fi.
We have a tremendous restaurant serving only the tastiest, freshest homemade fayre along with a tasty ale selection available from the bar. The George and Pilgrims is the perfect venue for you to relax in and ideal for meeting friends and family, with a range of speciality coffees and teas.

We are less than 200 metres from Glastonbury Abbey. Walk from the public bus stops outside the Town Hall toward the Town Cross and you will see us at the bottom of the High Street.
We have no dedicated parking but St Johns public car park is 30 metres from the rear entrance of the building and is free after 18:00 until 09:00 in the morning. If you are driving to us, the post code is BA6 9JJ.
The nearest train station is Castle Cary, which is 15 miles away with a regular service to Taunton and London Paddington. The regional Airport is Bristol International and is approximately 25 miles away.
Glastonbury Abbey; Glastonbury Tor; Chalise Well; Wells cathedral; Cheddar Gorge; Wookey Hole caves and attractions; Longleat Safari Park and House (the home of Lord Bath). the city of Bath; the city of Bristol (the Clifton suspension bridge and the home of SS Great Britai). We are also in close proximity to Weston Super Mare and Exmoor via the Somerset Levels.
